Veterans Day is a holiday celebrated every year on November 11 , the day World War l ended. It is held to honor U.S veterans and victims of the war . Veterans Day isn’t only to remember those who have died but to the one that continue to serve. It is important to show honor on Veterans Day because they went out into war for all of us and put there lives in danger to protect us and to make sure that our country stays safe. While you are at home sleeping in your warm bed they are out there in the war zone trying to fall asleep scared that they be ambushed, but they do it anyways to protect us. Many people show honor to these brave men. Sadly some of them have lost their lives . They have families that wont never see them again . Just like us , imagine that you are going to leave your family behind and fight for your country , you don’t know if you will return to see them again maybe you will and maybe you wont. It will be very heartbroken towards you family if they find out that you wont return to see them . Imagine how hard it is to see your kids grow up with out you ? Its hard but they still do it , they do it for us and our country . That’s why we honor those people who go out there and risk there lives for us.
